Jeff “Pappy” Papenfuss is the fearless bandleader of Shakin Like Sammy and a driving force in Voodoo Mountain, known for slinging lead guitar riffs with the confidence of a man who finally broke free from his day job. After years spent staring out office windows and daydreaming about guitars and tan lines, Pappy made his escape—and the music world is better for it.
No one can quite pinpoint when he first picked up a guitar, but legend has it the first song he ever learned was “Holiday” by the Scorpions. From that moment on, the path was set: big riffs, bigger attitude, and a lifelong devotion to the altar of rock.
Pappy’s passions are simple and unapologetic—pinched harmonics and the unmistakable aroma of a beer‑soaked stage floor. Whether he’s tearing through a solo or belting out vocals, he brings a raw, electric energy that turns every show into a full‑throttle experience.

A longtime educator at Palmer High School, Mike brings the same passion to the stage that he brings to the classroom—energy, heart, and a genuine love for what he does.
Raised in Southern California, he started playing piano as a kid, stepped away for a while, and then rediscovered his love for the keys with a renewed fire that shows every time he sits down behind them.
A die‑hard Sammy Hagar fan—he’s seen him around 30 times—Mike carries a bit of that Red Rocker spirit into every performance. And while the band name may nod to his fandom, one thing’s for sure: Mike definitely doesn’t drive 55

Raised on a steady mix of outlaw country, blues‑drenched rock, and the storytellers of the South, Bo brings a raw, lived‑in authenticity to every stage he steps on.
His sound blends driving Southern rock riffs with the heart of classic country, creating a style that feels both familiar and fiercely his own. Whether he’s delivering a high‑energy anthem or a slow‑burn ballad, Bo’s performances carry the weight of real experience and the warmth of a born entertainer.
Bo has opened for major entertainers including LeAnn Womack, The Bellamy Brothers, and Wayne Newton, showcasing his versatility and stage presence alongside some of the industry’s most iconic acts. He has also been featured on the television show Hawaii Stars and performed country music for the U.S. Army Soldier Show, representing his service with pride and passion.
Now based in Colorado, he continues to perform with the same fire that started back home in Kentucky—proving that no matter how far he travels, the Southern spirit stays loud in his music.

That early exposure shaped his musical DNA, grounding him in the era that still fuels his playing today.
Though rock will always be home base, Drew’s bandmates have successfully dragged him—willingly—into the world of country, and he’s discovering there’s plenty to love there too. He picked up the bass at age 12, but life eventually demanded a pause on his musical journey. Now retired and proudly “no longer an adult,” Drew is back to doing what he loves most: laying down bass lines, slinging a guitar when needed, and adding his voice to the mix with Shakin Like Sammy.
He’s playing with joy, freedom, and the kind of grin only a musician who found his way back to the stage can wear.

She grew up surrounded by music, stages, and sunshine, and it wasn’t long before she found herself front and center, doing exactly what she was meant to do.
Cat has spent her life in and out of bands, chasing the thrill of live performance. She came close to a major break when she recorded four songs with a 50‑piece orchestra for a movie soundtrack—though she’s pretty sure the entire film is still sitting on the cutting‑room floor at Paramount Studios. Undeterred, she ditched the day job and hit the road, touring the U.S. for five years as part of a duo/trio act, sharpening her craft and collecting stories along the way.
Now she’s bringing that experience, energy, and unmistakable Cat‑attitude to Shakin Like Sammy.

Tony Guidry brings the heartbeat of Louisiana to every stage he steps onto. Coming from a long line of musicians, Tony was practically destined to play. His father, Glynn Guidry, was a major force in the Louisiana music scene from the late ’60s through the ’90s, and the family tree doesn’t stop there—Glynn’s cousin is none other than Doug “The Ragin’ Cajun” Kershaw, famous for the 1961 hit “Louisiana Man.” Tony also counts Joe Manuel, acoustic guitarist for George Strait’s Ace In The Hole Band, among his relatives.
With that kind of heritage, it’s no surprise that music runs deep in Tony’s veins. He picked up the drums in the 5th grade and never looked back. Decades later, that same fire drives him as the rocking drummer for Shakin’ Like Sammy and as a core member of Voodoo Mountain.
Tony doesn’t just keep the beat—he is the beat.
